The Zlatevski's

Danny & Anita have been a big part of our lives for over a decade. You don’t realize how long you’ve been friends with someone and then one day you’re talking in decades! So many memories from the past 10+ years... From his purple camero, hanging out at Baskin Robbins, staying at his house for a week while in between dwellings to the annual ski trips and they’re beautiful little girl! It’s amazing when I look at her how much of each of her parents makes up this little girl. I’m so grateful to have friends like them in my life... Thank you Danny & Anita for the awesome time hanging out and playing at the park and the wonderful dinner and cocktails afterwards!

The Noble's

I did quite a few sessions at the Rochester Hills Municipal Park recently and here’s another one. I met Laura while working for Ford, definitely one of the best things that came out of my brief stint with the company! She is quite the supermom taking care of all of her boys and keeping up with their football, soccer, boy scout and school schedules. I am honored to have been able to do a little something for her with some family portraits! Thankfully it was a beautiful morning and they had a free couple of hours before the afternoon soccer games!

The Hillmer Family

I met this awesome couple through friends of friends. Some good friends were throwing a benefit for their dear friend that had Leukemia and I had donated a portrait package for their raffles. Dan, who happened to be Yugin’s best friend won. It couldn’t have worked out more perfectly since they had just had a baby girl a couple of weeks before hand! We met up at the Rochester Hills Municipal Park on a beautiful fall day.

On a side note, I haven’t posted in quite some time due to the fact that I was having some computer problems. Seems I completely filled my hard drive, and have been feverishly working to clear some space and back everything up. I think I got it all figured out and am now playing catch up! More photo session posts to come...

First Wedding

Last weekend was a crazy busy weekend filled with all kinds of fun shooting! I did my first wedding as a 2nd shooter on Friday night. I have been to my fare share of weddings and know the ins and outs from the perspective of the wedding party and as a guest, but this time I got to see it from the photographer’s viewpoint. What an amazing time! I learned so much that I’m still taking it all in. Kevin from Murawski Studios gave me the opportunity to work with him and see what shooting a wedding truly involves. I have to admit, I still love it. It’s not as glamorous as you might think, making sure to keep to a tight schedule and trying to stay out of the videographers way, but just being able to be a part of the bride and groom’s day to capture the love that they have at the very beginning of their story is amazing.

It really was an awesome learning experience, and I’m looking forward to doing the next one with him. I didn’t get a whole lot of shots, I tried to take in as much as I could. But here’s a few of my favorites from the day...

The Maxwells

I got to meet my dear friend Michelle and her family in the beautiful downtown New Baltimore for a family photo session. The downtown area is really a beautiful place to walk around. From the old school buildings, down to the pier overlooking Lake St. Clair and with the awesome picnic & play area!

I love this blue building! What a great color!

I love how much fun they have together. Jerry was a riot and really got into “posing”!

All of the boys had fun playing on the monkey bars!

Love his eyes...

Silly faces!

Thank you guys, your CD is in the mail. What an awesome evening! Too bad the ice cream place closed early... Oh well, Next time...

Out of Touch

We headed up north to the family’s cabin for a long awaited weekend away. I can’t even believe this is the first time we’ve been up here since the 4th of July! Yesterday we headed out to the woods. We found this great little park in Sanford where we knew we’d be safe from hunters since it was opening day of Bow season.

Scott and I absolutely love the fall. Every October for the past couple of years we head up north in one direction or another. Sometimes we’ll drive for the entire day looking at all of the beautiful colors of Michigan’s fall. Other days like this we’ll take long walks always stopping for photo ops. Yesterday was Coby’s mini shoot.

He was such a good boy, with sensory overload we managed to get him to pose for a few shots. And I had forgotten treats to encourage him with! The image at the top is definitely my favorite from the day.

So here I sit at the McDonald’s in Sanford trying to catch up with e-mails and voice mails. It’s nice to be away, but I always feel a little out of touch with no signal on my cell and now no wireless internet to tap into... Here’s some more of my favorites from yesterday.

Really mom? How long do I have wait here before I can go sniff some more?

Doesn’t he look so proud to be sitting on the bench. My Regal Coby

The colors are definitely starting to change up here...

This picture totally cracks me up. We found this great little bridge crossing a creek and thought it would be a great place to contain Coby for some pictures. It looks like he was sure having a good time running back and

Until I can get back in touch...

Hope you have a great weekend!
