Susan & Jim

My first wedding was more fun than I can express in words! I was a little apprehensive about getting into wedding photography, but after shooting my first wedding as the photographer I’m hooked! The joy I got from being able to capture someone’s day definitely outweighed the pressure I felt to create great images. That and having my dear friend Lesley shooting with me, made the event amazing even though it rained the entire day!

Look how cool her shoes are!

After the ceremony we snagged them and headed to Algonac’s boardwalk.  Yes, it was still raining!

Congratulations Jim & Susan!  Thank you for letting Lesley and I be a part of your special day.

Rochester Hills Municipal Park

Since I’ve decided to start my own business as a photographer I’ve spent a lot of time checking out different locations for sessions. I’ve found some breathtaking local parks and downtown areas. Today I headed out to the Rochester Hills Municipal Park. I’ve had several clients suggest this park and WOW I can see why! It’s absolutely stunning. Awesome place for nature and I can’t wait to get out there as the leaves start to change colors! Then as an added extra bonus, I got to spend time with this amazing artist. Not only is she an amazing painter, but she’s a very dear friend of mine. We had a fabulous lunch at the Rochester Mills Beer Co and then took a walk through the park. It was so fun catching up with you Jen! Thank you for a beautiful day!

Her beauty has this classic element to it, don’t ya think?

Jen definitely has a contagious smile.

There’s this great little stream that runs right into a waterfall.

It’s been a while since I’ve played with textures. I like the way this one turned out. Isn’t she gorgeous?

I love the feel to this shot.

I mentioned above that Jen is a painter, she gifted me with this stunning work of art that I cannot wait to get hung in my house. I think she needs her own Etsy shop!

Meet Samantha

I couldn’t be more excited for my first entry in my new photoblog to feature this yummy little girl. She is Carl & Tamara’s little miracle and I am honored to be there watching her grow. I did my first maternity shoot with Tam and then was asked to take Sam’s 3 month pictures too!

Samantha you are so very lucky to have this amazing family that adores you so much!

Is she gorgeous or what?

Mom sure does know how to make her little girl smile...

At 6 months old, you can already see what a thinker this little girl is.

She makes the funniest faces! Don’t you just want to kiss those cheeks?

I l~o~v~e little baby feet!

Scott had the day off of work, so we got to spend some time on the lake! Talk about a hard day’s work. :-)
