Surprises

This is one of my favorite images from a recent shoot this week. I love surprises! So imagine my excitement when I got the phone call from a client wanting to do a surprise session for his wife for Mother's Day! I had so much fun with this little kid and as I was editing them I literally found myself laughing out loud! I can't wait to share them here, but it'll have to wait until after Mother's Day.

Have a very busy next couple of days with the Tots to Teens seminar in Grand Rapids today, an e-session, an OP Love Session, school pictures and an upcoming communion. I'll be back to post more images soon!

I hope everyone is enjoying this fabulous weather!

Amber & Matt - 2nd Shooter

Last Saturday was a beautiful day for a wedding and a great way to kick off the season! I got to second shoot with Kevin of Murawski Studios, he's an amazing photographer and has been an invaluable source of knowledge for me. Thank you so much for everything Kevin!

*Warning!  This post comes with a disclaimer, I just couldn't narrow down my favorites so this post is pretty picture heavy!  :-)

The ceremony took place at St. Peter's in downtown Mt. Clemens.   What a beautiful church! And blue sky! Welcome Spring!

Amber's bouquet was simply elegant with beautiful pink tulips.

The graphics on their get away car were designed by the super talented Matt!

I just love her shoes!

A quick kiss from dad before it's time!  I just love the feeling to this!

Waiting in the stairwell for the signal...

It's Go Time!

The super cute ring bearer...

I love the way Amber is looking at Matt in this image.  As you'll see later on he looks at her the same way!

Mr & Mrs!

I love this series...

A quick ride around the block before pictures.

Isn't she gorgeous?

The fire escape at the school next door made for some great portraits! See what I mean about the way he looks at her?

This one looks a little weird because I forgot to leave a space between the images!  Oops!

Matt is one lucky guy!

So cute!  I love this!

Seriously!  Look at her workin' that beautiful gown!

I wish I could remember what they were laughing at, but aren't their smiles awesome?

We were on our way to the gazebo across the river and took a short cut up the stairs of the municipal building.  So glad we did!

Amber was prepared for a little walking sporting a cute pair of flip flops!  I love how I caught the merge sign between them!  Complete accident...

He's so in love with her...

The bottom of the gazebo is engraved with hearts going all the way around.  Love that I was able to capture this!

The cutting of the cake...

One of Matt's brothers was the best man and gave such a heart warming toast!

Amber and Matt sure can dance!

And a final sweet moment of the new couple!

SCS Firefighter's Easter Egg Hunt

This year marked the 20th annual Easter Egg Hunt that the St. Clair Shores Firefighter's have been a part of. They spend weeks stuffing hundreds of little plastic eggs full of candies for the area kids and there's always a great turnout. This year didn't disappoint. And the weather was nice with the sun even out!

They section off the park behind Blossom Heath into 3 different age groups. Look at all those eggs!

My favorite image of the day! Isn't she adorable?

And they're off!

Waiting for the go ahead... Notice the little guy with the binoculars? :-)

What a great turnout! Look how tall the Easter Bunny is!

Go Tigers!

Opening Day for the Detroit Tigers is a holiday here. We've all been going downtown for the game for as long as I can remember and each year is an experience in itself!

This year we all met for breakfast at Linda's Place then headed to Greektown. After meeting up with the rest of our clan we headed to Steve's Place. This place is beyond a hole in the wall, and nearly empty until we walk in. The owner Steve is this sweet little old Polish man smiling behind the bar serving up drinks.

This man had his guitar and strummed out some tunes for us!

It's so nice to see the community pulling together to support our local automakers in these economic times. When GM had to cancel their contract with Comerica Park for obvious reasons Tiger's and Red Wing's owner Mike Ilitch had all of the Big 3 display their cars!

I'm no sports photographer, but I always love capturing action on the field. Pitcher Ryan Perry making his Comerica Park debut!

How does Magglio not trip on those pants?

Curtis Granderson with a one handed snag.

Out? It don't matter, the Tiger's still won 15-2! Roarrrr!

More great memories from the Tiger's Opening Day!
